Set up the chat overlay
Watch every platform's merged chat on a second screen while you stream from your phone.
You stream once, every platform's chat merges into one feed, and the overlay is that feed as a standalone page for a second screen — a tablet or spare phone next to your streaming device.
Grab the link
Open the Stream tab → 🖥 Overlay in the tab bar. Copy the link — it carries a private 128-bit token. The refresh icon issues a fresh link and kills the old one instantly, so re-issue it if it's ever been visible to anyone else.
Open it on a second device
A tablet or spare phone propped next to your streaming phone. The merged chat scrolls there live, and by default nobody but you sees it — it's a private monitor, not part of the broadcast.
Pick which platforms show
The platform checkboxes in the overlay panel are one control shared with the panel's own "All" tab — uncheck a platform to hide it from both at once. Leave it empty to show everything, including platforms you connect later.
Private vs public mode
- Private (default) — for your second screen only. Tips show as hype, e.g. a name and an amount.
- Public — for burning the chat into the broadcast itself, e.g. as an OBS/Moblin browser-source widget. In public mode tip amounts are hidden — viewers see that a gift arrived, never the number.
Burning it into the stream makes it visible to viewers
Only add the overlay as a browser-source widget after switching to public mode. For a private monitor only you see, just open the link on a second device — don't add it to your encoder at all.
Tweak it with URL parameters
No settings UI needed — append these to the overlay link:

Verify it worked
The overlay stays quiet with an empty feed until a producer is actually feeding your stream — your live tap on a connected platform, or the motor once it's running for the webcam sites. Nothing shows up on the overlay before something shows up in the panel's own chat feed.

Reply in chat from the panel — send a message back through the same merged feed, without opening the platform's own site.
