Add a picture-in-picture camera
Put your laptop camera in the corner as an inset over your phone's feed.
In the scene rail, press "+" → Live source. A rectangle appears in the corner of the frame.
Set its source to the browser camera — layer settings now show a live preview and the list of available cameras and microphones.
Turn the camera on, pick your devices, and save the device choice — next time this layer is opened, the same camera turns on by itself.
Drag the inset into place and resize it.
Press Apply.
Picking a camera starts nothing
Selecting a device is a setting, not a broadcast — the picture stays local until you actually go live from the cockpit, which has exactly one air button for the whole studio.
The device choice has its own save, separate from the scene
Camera and microphone selection is a fact about your browser, not about the scene — another laptop has different devices, so shipping the choice into the scene itself would be wrong. The scene's own "Apply" is unrelated to the device save.
How to verify it worked
The frame diagram and the live preview both show the inset in its placed position. The top indicator switches to Re-composing — an inset always costs a real encode, since it isn't the default full-frame passthrough.
If it doesn't work
If the camera layer shows a dead device after a laptop swap, Stream falls back automatically and flags the stale choice — use "forget device" rather than fighting it. See Camera and device issues.
What's next
Crop your frame — trim unwanted edges from any source, including this inset.
