Record your stream
Save a clean copy of your incoming signal on the receiving box — no captions, no widgets.
The cockpit can record the clean incoming signal — your raw camera or encoder feed, before any scene layer is drawn on top — and keep it on the box that received it. No video byte for a recording ever passes through the panel itself.
In the cockpit, toggle Record. It works independently of "go on air" — you can record without broadcasting, or broadcast without recording.
Toggling it off stops the recording. Going off-air does not stop a running recording on its own — the two are separate flags, because a creator often keeps recording material after stepping off air.
Open the recordings list in the cockpit to see everything saved for your account on the receiving box, and delete anything you don't need from there.
How to verify it worked
The recordings list (GET /stream/cockpit/recordings) reflects what the receiving box
actually has. If the box is unreachable, the panel shows an empty list and an explicit
"motor offline" state rather than an error — the cockpit itself stays usable either way.
Deleting is real, and name-checked
Deleting a recording asks the box to remove the file by name; a name containing a
path separator or .. is rejected before the request even reaches the box.
If it doesn't work
If the recordings list is empty right after you expected a save, check whether the motor was actually reachable during the recording — see Motor not connected yet.
What's next
Turn on auto-live — skip the manual "go on air" click for future broadcasts.
